Taco Family is a friendly and cozy Mexican restaurant located in the heart of the Ewha Womens' University area.  The menu is exactly what you'd hope for:  simple, flavorful and reasonable.  The Pastor Tacos at 3,000 won are the deal of the century--served on a 6 inch corn tortilla, layered with meat, cheeses, salsa and cilantro.  Dying for a heavy burrito that needs two hands to eat properly?  You'll get a good work out lifting the Chicken Burrito, packed with big roasted chunks of chicken, spicy spanish rice, white beans, cheese, lettuce, tomato and salsa (6,000 won)  Sorry, had to wipe the drool off my keyboard.   Want something light?  Try a vegetarian quesadilla for 4,500 won:  a meal in itself.  Wash it all down with a few ice cold Coronas, and cheers your neighbor at one of the four tables next to you!

Just remember three things:  (1) make sure you ask for a bottle of the house made salsa to sprinkle liberally on your food; (2) make sure to get the Frequent Food card:  five meals and the six one is free; and (3) tell em HiExpat.com sent you and watch the owner croon out Arriang in Spanish!  C'mon, you can't beat that!

Take the Subway Line 2, the Green line, to Ehwa University Station (이대역).  Walk straight out of Exit No. 2, about 50 meters, and, at the second street, make a left.  Walk straightpast the mini-park, ampitheatre (Yes AMP Park) on your left, and make a left at that corner.  Taco Family will be on your right, about half way down.
