Refined red and khaki colored fabric interior with an individual and unique floor atmosphere creates an outstanding ambiance for eating. The restaurant is just as varied, consisting of a dining wine bar, a fine dining hall and a private dining room. Crispy soft-shell crap with hot curry sauce (25,000 won) and stir-fried seafood rice noodle 'Chow Pot' (17,000 won) are the most popular dishes. See more photos |

User Reviews and Ratings Overpriced Thai Food

I didn't go to this one, which is in Anguk by Samcheon-dong, but I did go to the one in Apkujong. Coming up the elevator to the dining area (there also appears to be a bar or light fare floor, as well), I was struck by warm but not overlit interior and an unusually friendly and professional staff. The accolades, however, end there. The music is off, way too fast and not nearly the soothing, Thai-flavored music I'd expect from a high end fusion restaurant.
The food came out promptly and was not bad. Still, I expect some adventure in my fusion, and this fare seemed to be as if the restaurant was trying to please everyone by making the palate experience totally predictable. In the end, the food fails to make anyone happy and comes off as bland to anyone who has eaten real Thai food. Moreover, the portions were woefully small (Phad Thai for 2 was barely enough for one) and ridiculously overpriced. The green curry chicken was around 30,000 won, and a side of rice 7,000 won. Like I said, the food was not bad, but I won't be back to the Apkujong location. Selecting the rating below will make the Submit and Write Review buttons appear.
