Korea Phone: 02-553-9000 CEO and Executive Chef Santino Sortino has a simple philosophy: share his passion for traditional, rustic Italian cuisine with his customers and friends by finding the freshest, highest quality local and imported ingredients to create masterpieces on the plate and pallet. Together they are paired with small-sclae boutique wines from Italy that emphasize flavor and old world techniques over mass production to create an experience that is difficult to forget.
Villa Sortino's is the fine dining portion of the Sortino's food offerings. Dinner is an event of epic proportions, featuring a traditional Italian menu of flavorful pastas, thick, grilled to perfection steaks and traditional seafood dishes.
For lunch, try the Set Menu (35,000 won) and start off with an antipasto of seasonal, grilled veggies with a five-year aged balsamic reduction and extra virgin olive oil, then your First Course choice of 3 mouthwatering pastas (including the mouthwatering linguini pasta with piccante Gorgonzola cheese, asparagus tips, Italian prosciutto cotto and a light cream finish). The Main course is the medallions of Korean chejudo top sirloin pork with Siciliian marsala wine reduction. Finish off with coffee or tea and that day's special homemade desert. Now that's a lunch! Directions: Take Subway Line 6 to Itaewon Station. Walk straight out of Exit #2 about 1.5 blocks. Villa Sortino's will be on your left-hand side. See more photos |

User Reviews and Ratings Wow!

I've eaten at other Italian restaurants in Korea, Europe and in the US, and Villa Sortino is top notch Italian, with REAL Italian ingredients (means fresh basil no instant rice), has an all class interior (to impress a date :-) ), damn good wine list (you gotta love an Italian sommelier who tells you a French wine might go better with your steak). The servings are steady, you can split an entree/piatti and appetizer with a friend, and the place serves up an tasty Espresso that will keep you awake for days. Better yet, no mandatory side dish of pickles! You go Italy!!!
Sounds like the guy from Pizza Hut is online and busy, because not only have I seen the family there, I've met the owner. Try to meet Edward Kwon at The Spice or Gordon Ramsay at Savoy Grille. NOt Italian!

this restaurant is a joke! they are all marketing but no delivery! they go on about being a family Italian restaurant! I have never once seen a family work this joint.. the so called owner who is nothing more than a face for the real Korean owners NEVER cooks! he was born in Canada! and acts Italian without even speaking Italian.. The food is all made by Koreans with local Korean suppliers! the only Italian guy I have ever seen in this place is the Wine guy..
this place is no different to any other Korean owned restaurant.. DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE! the high prices and small portions is a joke... skip this place... Selecting the rating below will make the Submit and Write Review buttons appear.
