Phone: 02-794-9292 포린레스토랑 Featuring a tasty trio of set menus for lunch and an excellent weekend buffet, Foreign Restaurant is everything you'd expect from its name.
You'll be greeted at the door by a brass-plated, baby elephant with a bell hanging from its mouth and the sound of the latest in Bollywood song and dance in the background.
The set lunch menu for 6,000 won includes your choice of curry chicken, beef, mutton or vegetables, along with jasmine rice, naan bread, salad and raita. (Monday - Friday, 11:30 am to 3:00 pm).
The Royal Special lunch menu set allows you a choice from Indian or Arab tastes: for 12,000 won you can select from Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken masala, Beef panjabi, Mutton Dopiaja or Shahi mixed vegetable korma on the Indian side, and Lamb kebab or a chicken shwarma platter on the Arabic side. All Royal set menus come with heaping sides of jasmine basamati rice, vibrant tomato, iceberg and cucumber salad, soup, naan and a mango lassi to top it off.
The weekend brunch is all you can eat for a reasonable 15,000 won, and includes a variety of curries, salads and other Indian and Middle-Eastern treats.
With almost all menu items under 12,000 won, Foreign Restaurant is a great place "by the Hill" to grab some flavorful and bountiful food without wondering too far off the reservation. Directions: Walk straight up out of Itaewon Exit 3 until you reach the end of the block. Make a right and head up the hill about a block and a half. Foreign Restaurant is on the left, across the street from Salam Bakery and next door to the legendary King Club. See more photos |
