Let me paint a picture for you:

It's Tuesday night.  The time is Korea Happy Hour time.  You're young; your stomach is gnawing at your throat; your wallet is so thin you can see through it; you're beautiful.   (Ok, 3 out of 4).

I know the feeling.  So let's cut to the chase:  the best way to satiate that roaring appettite without having to dig through your Teachers' Lounge couch cushions for cash is wait until Tuesday night and head to Itaewon in Hannam dong.  Don't pretend you don't know where it is--you do.  Its the Best of Korea, and the Worse of Korea, all in one neighborhood, or 동네 (dongnae).    Here's a few starting spots for Tuesday night; click on the link to get to the website for description and directions.

3 Alley Pub:   Buffalo Wings, 300 won each (traditional spicy, teriyaki and honey/garlic available); also get a draft OB beer and dinner for 5,500 won, whatever "dinner" means.   Older crowd and right under Sam Ryan's. 


Dillinger's.  Burger Bomb Set!  Burger and Fries for only 5,000 won.   Hollywood Grill:  A pretty decent steak for 13,500 won.   Sorry but no link yet...Its on the main strip, about a 5 minute walk out of Exit 2 of Itaewon station, on the second floor on the right.

Los Amigos:  Mexican food & cocktails!   Get 30% off cocktails on Tuesday nights.  Glug!


Naked Grill:  Buffalo Wings, 500 won each; Mexican place new kid on the block rumor of 3,000 won tacos as well on Tuesdays.


Nashville (2nd Floor):  Buffalo Wings, 250 won each!  Yeehaw!  Can't wait for the patio to open up at this place on the weekends...

Panchos:  Buy a beer and get a free taco.  One beer, one taco from 5 to 10 pm!


Rocky Mountain Tavern (RMT):  Buffalo Wings, 300 won each (Regular Hot, Hot, Ouch, Killer Ouch, Creamy Cool, BBQ, Hot BBQ, Lemon Pepper, Salt & Pepper, Teriyaki, Honey Mustard).    Like Hockey much, eh?  Get up there for the games and feel the pulse of the guy next to you.


Roofers:    Oh, what 10,000 won can get you on a Tuesday BBQ night at Roofers!  Burger & Beer (plus potatoes and coleslaw), BBQ chicken sando, with potatoes and coleslaw, and for an extra measly 4,000 won, a tasty BBQ steak with potatoes and coleslaw (14,000 won).


Sam Ryans:  BBQ Pork Ribs, 500 won each.  Lots of flatscreens and sports, lots of napkins and BBQ sauce mouths like a Joker Halloween costume.

Scrooge Pub & Sports Bar:  Pizza slices, only 1,500 won every Tuesday night!  Pool, darts, sports and rooftop action!

Sharkey's Haeundae: $1 San Diego Street Tacos!  Spiced Beef,  Refried Beans or Creamy Ranch Chicken Tacos -- all for just a buck every Tuesday night!  (Open 7 pm to 2 am)

Vin Vino:   no longer serving food/drink; focusing on wine sales only.


Wolfhound:  2 for 1 Fish N' Chips (price for one is 11,900).   Haven't tried the food at "The Wolf" yet?  Then its time to experiment!
