I've gathered that bowling isn't really popular in Korea. For me, bowling has a direct correlation to high school. Because there isn't much to do in suburban Pennsylvania if you are under the age of 21, bowling consumes many a weekend. Here in Seoul, drinking consumes many a weekend. Combine the two and you get Pierrot Strike!
Pierrot Strike is bowling for adults. It's still the same fun game, but with alcohol! The venue also has a full bar, dartboards, and game tables.

The prices are a lot more affordable than I thought they would be, considering it's in Seoul's most expensive neighborhood. To bowl, it costs 5,000 W per game with 1,500 W for shoe rental. The drink prices are moderate-high. 5,000 W will get you a beer, 8,000 W will get you a cocktail. I sipped on a few cocktails and a beer while watching the Victoria's Secret show on their televisions (apparently they play this on repeat every night.) Also, the upbeat house music at the alley contributes to more of a lounge feel to this place.

Although the venue itself is AWESOME and sure as heck beats the lanes of Abington, PA, there are a couple of cons:
Be prepared to wait a bit for your turn to bowl, especially if you come late. The bowling alley does not take reservations. My group of friends (eight of us) had to wait about an hour for two lanes. I went on a Thursday night, around 9 p.m., and the area around the bar/games was deserted. The tables by the bowling alleys were filled with people waiting to bowl.
The other bad thing about this place is the horrible service. The waiters are serious divas. They are quite snobby and very Apku-jungish, AKA too-cool-for-school. I’ve been there twice now, and both times I’ve been really upset with their ‘tudes. I had to demand several cocktails to settle my irritation with them. Then the delay on delivering my cocktails just ended up irritating me more. According to one of my friends, the staff at Pierrot Strike is comprised mostly of aspiring actors and models. Mm, that's nice. Is it too much to ask for a gin & tonic with a side of pleasant?
Directions:
The best way to get there is to take a taxi from Apku-jung Station to “Designers Club.” Pierrot Strike is on the first floor of the building.
