A free spirit, Mari Dalready was raised by a mother who encouraged her to always reach for the stars. She was exposed to and involved with a wide variety of the arts and different genres of music and theatre for most of her life. She was drawn to burlesque for it’s mix of the best of all worlds of theater – comedy, acting, sexiness, adventure, singing and dancing. She says she loves traditional burlesque because “one minute you could be acting like a fool and the next minute like a beautiful goddess-like being.”

While everyone has their own reasons for becoming involved in burlesque, some things the lovely ladies of Frills ‘n’ Thrills had in common were their love of dressing up, their desire to have a laugh and a good time with friends, and an aspiration to branch out and try something new with their time in Korea while meeting new people along the way. Mari Dalready believes also that burlesque provides a great outlet and a beautiful boost to the self-esteem.

While Frills ‘n’ Thrills was started as a hobby – something the girls could do together that they all enjoyed – it has turned into quite the head-turning performance. They can see now that the sky is the limit and they plan on taking it as far as they can while they’re all here together.
